Grandma's Cream Chicken Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 Bone-In RedBird Farms Bone-In Chicken Breasts

  • 1 Pint Heavy Whipping Cream

  • 2 TBS Butter

  • Salt and Pepper to taste

  • 2 Cups Water (or 2 Cups Chicken Broth)

  • 2 Chicken Boulion Cubes (if using water)

  • 2 TBS Flour

  • 1 Cup Water

Method

1. Using a chicken frying pan, generously brown Chicken Breasts in 2 TBS Butter. Seasoning with Salt and Pepper to taste.

2. After browning, pour 2 Cups of water over Chicken Breasts and add the 2 Boulion cubes, simmering for 1 1/2 hours.

3. After simmering for 1 1/2 hours, add the Pint of Heavy Whipping Cream and simmer for another 1/2 hour.

4. Remove Chicken Breasts from the pan and place them on the platter to rest.

5. Mix 3 TBL flour with 1 Cup water, add to the pan, and whisk until thickened for gravy.

Notes: This is a very heavy but very delicious meal. I serve with peas and mashed potatoes.
