Beer Can Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1 RedBird Farms Whole Chicken

  • ⅓ cup brown sugar

  • 2 tablespoons chili powder

  • 2 tablespoons paprika

  • 2 teaspoons dry mustard

  • Salt and pepper

  • 12 fluid ounces beer (1 can)

Method

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.

  2. Mix spices together. Place half-full can of beer in the center of a large plate.

  3. Remove giblets and neck from Chicken.

  4. Place Chicken over can of beer, standing upright. Rub chicken with spices.

  5. Place chicken and beer directly on the grill. Cook for about 1 hr 15 minutes, or when a thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the Chicken Thigh reads 165 F.

  6. Allow chicken to rest, then slice and serve!
